Junior Volunteers

Teens 14-17 years of age who are self starters, independent, and have empathy for others can make good candidates for our Junior Volunteer Program.  Interested teens must complete the application in its entirety to ensure requirements are met for consideration. We have a limited number of spots available each session, so make sure to be thorough on your application and essay questions.

Cleaning and other support activities are a major part of the junior volunteers’ duties. Please note that NEW Junior Volunteers handle animals infrequently. With time and experience, JVs are given more responsibility to help with direct animal care. There is very little “playtime” at any point of the program.
